And the beat continues as Irwin Football moves another 2 games ahead and has all but ensured victory this season with 2 weeks to go. Their dominance from the middle of the season until now has been unprecedented. At the start of the season they looked like they would be a cellar dweller. Irwin Associates who looked strong early in the season was unable to hold their lead and has shown a steady decline. Hopes were dashed this week when Illinois pulled out a win over Penn St. The only thing remaining to do this season is to root for Ohio State.

OHIO STATE POUNDS PURDUE

With 2 safeties from an overwhelming defense and Steve Bellisari having another outstanding game, the Buckeyes outplayed the 23rd ranked Boilermakers in every aspect of the game to win 35-9. With 2 games left against Illinois and Michigan, they have a shot at the Big 10 title which seemed out of reach just a few weeks ago.

Buckeye running back Jonathan Wells carries 21 times for 101 yards and a touchdown against the Boilermaker defense.

Vince Wilson (41) makes the stop on fourth down to preserve the win.

TUBBY WINS #300

The Blue Hens were able to contain Richmond to just 2 field goals and went on to win 10-6 at Delaware stadium. After the game, the players carried the 74 year old coach on their shoulders as he becomes only the 9th coach to reach 300 wins and only the 3rd to have all the wins at the same school.
