Week 7 showed a tightening in the race for this year's champion. Andrew Irwin who had moved out to an early lead after the Thursday night games ended the week losing 2 games of his formidable lead.
It was good weekend for Blue Hen and Buckeye fans. Contrary to the ESPN ticker which showed that Hofstra won, Delaware pleased the Homecoming crowd with a hard fought 10-6 victory over The Pride. Ohio State rolled again with all aspects of the game working like a well tuned machine. It was a complete victory on both sides of the ball in a usually hostile environment.

Delaware defenders Brown and Johnson sack Hofstra QB Anton Clarkson during second quarter action at Delaware Stadium, October 14, 2006. Delaware won, 10-6, the same score by which Hofstra prevailed over Delaware in 2005, proving once again that everything that goes around, comes around. |
Sophmore Robbie Agnone scores on a seven yard pass, the only Delaware touchdown in a 10-6 win over Hofstra at Delaware Stadium. |
